Level Gauge Glass

Green Transparent Gauge Glass is manufactured from heat-resistant borosilicate glass with smooth, ground and polished parallel surfaces. A transparent green coating creates a colored optical background that improves the contrast between the liquid-filled and gas-filled sections of the level gauge. As the process liquid rises or falls behind the glass, differences in light transmission and refraction make the liquid boundary easier to identify, especially when ordinary clear transparent glass does not provide sufficient visual contrast.

Unlike reflex gauge glass, green transparent gauge glass has flat surfaces without prismatic grooves. This allows operators to observe the liquid directly through the glass while benefiting from enhanced level visibility. It forms the viewing window of a mechanical level gauge and provides reliable, power-free liquid-level observation without electronic sensors.

Green transparent gauge glass is suitable for compatible flat-glass level gauges installed on boilers, storage tanks, pressure vessels, pipelines and industrial process equipment. Standard DIN 7081 dimensions and customized sizes are available to meet different replacement and equipment-manufacturing requirements. The appropriate glass size, thickness and protective accessories should be selected according to the level-gauge design, operating pressure, temperature and process medium.
