Product Description
Asbestos Gauge Glass Gaskets are sealing and cushioning components installed between the gauge glass and the metal chamber or cover of an industrial liquid level gauge. When properly compressed, the gasket fills small surface irregularities and helps prevent leakage around the glass.
The compressed sheet material is generally manufactured from asbestos fibers combined with a heat-resistant rubber binder and selected fillers. This construction provides good compressibility, recovery, dimensional stability and resistance to water, steam, oils and many general industrial fluids.
These gaskets are commonly supplied for reflex and transparent level gauges used on boilers, tanks, pressure vessels, pipelines and process equipment. Standard rectangular sizes are available to match commonly used DIN-style gauge glass. Custom-cut gaskets can also be produced from drawings or physical samples.The correct gasket grade must be selected according to the operating medium, temperature, pressure and gauge design.
Sizes and Dimensions
Asbestos gauge glass gaskets are available in two standard widths to match commonly used reflex and transparent level gauge assemblies. Standard thicknesses are 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm.

Custom sizes: Rectangular, oval, circular and drawing-specific gaskets can be manufactured. For an accurate quotation, customers should provide the outer length, outer width, opening dimensions, thickness, operating medium, temperature and pressure.
Asbestos-free fiber, mica gasket, graphite and PTFE gauge glass gaskets are also available for applications where asbestos-containing materials are restricted.
