Product Description
Industrial Gasket Paper, also known as Latex Paper Sheet, Beater Sheet or Beater-Addition Gasket Paper, is manufactured from selected fibers, synthetic latex binder and functional fillers through a wet-forming process.
The material provides good compressibility and recovery, helping it conform to minor surface irregularities and form a reliable seal under moderate flange loads. It is commonly used with lubricating oil, fuel, water and similar media in automotive and general industrial equipment.
Industrial gasket paper can be supplied in non-vulcanized or vulcanized form. Non-vulcanized paper is softer and more compressible, making it suitable for lamination with tinplate or other reinforcing materials. Vulcanized paper has a smoother surface, higher density and greater mechanical strength, allowing it to be cut directly into finished gaskets.
Typical applications include engine covers, oil pans, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, agricultural machinery, motorcycles and other mechanical sealing components. The material may also be punched or die-cut into custom gasket shapes.
