Product Description

Gauge Cock Packing Sleeves are replaceable sealing components fitted between the spindle and body of a sleeve-packed gauge cock. When the packing nut is tightened, the sleeve is compressed and expands against the surrounding sealing surfaces, forming a close seal around the spindle.

The cylindrical sleeve incorporates a central bore and side flow port aligned with the internal passage of the gauge cock. This construction allows the spindle to rotate smoothly while helping prevent steam, water or process fluid from leaking through the cock assembly.

Packing sleeves are commonly used in the top, bottom and drain cocks of boiler water gauges, tubular level gauges and other direct-reading liquid-level instruments. They are compatible with many AB-type gauge cocks and level gauge mount designs.

Graphite packing sleeves offer excellent thermal stability and are recommended for steam, hot water and high-temperature industrial service.

PTFE packing sleeves provide low friction and excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals, making them suitable for water, oils and chemically aggressive process media.

The packing sleeve is a replaceable consumable component. Its dimensions must match the internal cavity, spindle and flow-port position of the gauge cock. Therefore, the cock model or complete dimensional information should be confirmed before ordering.
